The Inner Compass

According to the Rosicrucians, there is a severance and a division between man and his origin. Man has, because of this severance, become a disharmonious and self-centered creature and has completely lost touch with his original nature and divine essence. But this severance can be rescinded and many of us show the signs of the urge thereto. Countless people on our planet are seeking desperately for answers on existential questions and for ‘original values of life’ like harmony, friendship, unity and love.

The basis for getting ‘linked in’ again is a special core which resides in our hearts. It is the last remnant of the original divine man who once lived in the heavenly kingdom and now knocks at the door of our hearts to be released. Rosicrucians call it the Rose of the Heart or spirit-soul spark.

The spirit-soul spark is, as the Bhagavad Gita puts it, 'one with the unborn eternal, who is, of all creation the beginning the end and the middle'.

To those who experience that knocking on the heart and experience the anguish of the inner man, the spiritual Light of the Gnosis conveys new horizons in thinking and feeling. The light of the Gnosis will enable those who respond to these new inner impulses, to change their life accordingly at the appropriate moment. The prerequisite for this is that we have to turn around 180 degrees, in order to set off towards the new, inwardly perceived, horizon. But, we will have to learn to use our inner compass and to follow the impulses and the guidance of the Soul.
