'The Cloth of Heaven, the Light Birth in the Heart, and the Inner Christmas'

A John-man is a being that, after a long search, has the profound experience that his true destination is not in the world of darkness, and who experiences the world as a barren desert. That is why John, as a symbol of the yearning of our soul for light and truth, is born out of parents that are old and barren; symbols of our quest that led to nothing. We can see Elizabeth's pregnancy of John as the period from the first experience of the uselessness of this existence till the bounds of the search have been reached. Yet, simultaneously there exists this curious experience of the "inner zero", the silent waiting, the inner knowing that the light is always with us and that it will present itself to our prepared, newly focused consciousness at a certain moment. There is the unshakable knowledge that the mystery of true Life will reveal itself, and once we embrace it, we will eventually weave with it our Cloth of Heaven, the Light vesture also called the "resurrection body of Jesus".
